Partner, Build a Career, or Join the Response

Joti Foundation is a youth-led, women-led disaster resilience organisation working across prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. By 2036 we intend to stand up 1,000 Youth Response Units, 400 Circle Quick Response Teams and 2,000 Village Disaster Management Committees across 50 disaster-prone districts. None of that happens without partners who fund it, colleagues who run it and volunteers who show up in the first 24 hours.

Partnership

Partner With Us

Partnership is our fifth strategic goal, not a funding line. By 2036 we aim to work with government agencies, CSR partners, philanthropic institutions, national and international foundations and communities to mobilise resources that strengthen JF’s long-term impact and institutional resilience — and to bring grassroots lessons back to the policy table.

Government & Institutional

Roshan Punjab, our children's eye health programme, is delivered in partnership with the Government of Punjab and has already reached approximately one million children. In emergencies, our Flood Response teams operate in close coordination with NDRF, SDRF and district authorities.

Corporate & CSR

CSR partnerships fund the training cohorts, rescue equipment and logistics that make a 24-hour response possible. Our Climate Action programme also works directly with corporates on groundwater conservation and climate adaptation.

Philanthropic & Foundations

National and international foundations give us the multi-year horizon that resilience work demands — sustaining Youth Response Units between disasters, not only during them.

Community & Civil Society

Village Disaster Management Committees, panchayats, academic institutions and civil society organisations anchor our work locally, so preparedness stays owned by the community rather than delivered to it.

Careers

Build a Career in Disaster Resilience

Joti Foundation runs a deliberately lean, collaborative and mission-driven structure. Teams are small, decisions travel fast and the distance between a plan and a village is short. If you want scope over hierarchy — and you are willing to work in remote, disaster-prone districts — this is a place to do the most consequential work of your career.

Volunteering

The First Responder Is Already There. It Could Be You.

Local youth are usually the first people present when a disaster strikes, and are uniquely positioned to act immediately — particularly in remote locations where external responders take time to arrive. We equip and train those young people so that rescue and relief arrive inside the first 24 hours, not after.

01

Train

Learn search and rescue, relief distribution and community mobilisation as part of a Youth Response Unit in your area.

02

Prepare

Between disasters, work alongside Village Disaster Management Committees on prevention, mitigation and preparedness.

03

Deploy

When your district is hit, respond in the critical first 24 hours in coordination with NDRF, SDRF and local authorities.

The application form lives on a separate page — it takes you through where you are based and how you want to contribute.
